KNOW MORE ABOUT UGANDA

Uganda, popularly known as the ‘The Pearl of Africa’ is located in East Africa and lies along the equator. Uganda enjoys a tropical climate, with abundant sunshine all year round. Due to its altitude, Uganda's temperatures are moderate throughout the year with average daily temperatures range from 18° to 28°C (65° to 83° F). Uganda is blessed with two long rainy seasons (March to May, September to December). This has made it more suitable to agriculture and less prone to tropical diseases than other countries in the region.

Agriculture is the most important sector in Uganda; it employs approx. 72% of the population. Over 80% of Uganda’s land is arable and it is considered as having high potential of agriculture growth due to low temperature variability, two rain seasons and fertile soil. Uganda has a population of about 46.9 million people (2024 census), according to various studies, Uganda's fertile agriculture land has potential to feed about 200 million people, if well utilized.
