A study conducted by CIP within Oct-Nov 2024 on sweetpotato farmers to understand their sources of agricultural information and sweetpotato production practices. This survey helps to learn about farmer’s experiences, views and perspectives on the sweetpotato production. The information is helpful to evaluate return on investment and the economic benefits generated by the adoption of improved sweetpotato varieties. |
Realtime System Analyzed Evaluation Results
- A brief description of identities of sweetpotato farmers interviewed during the study
- Results showing general access to land, sweetpotato production, usage and sales (roots & vines) for the previous two seasons, commonly grown sweetpotato varieties, types of inputs used for production, labour usage, adoption of sweetpotato technologies
- Results describing incomes from other sources, production of other crops besides sweetpotato, livestock ownership, assets used in farming, and non-farm asset ownership

- Results showing farmers psychological construct towards purchase of improved sweetpotato seed (awareness, interest, desire, action, influencers), and role of sweetpotato in food security
