ORGANISATION FOR COMMUNITY ACTION, MLE SYSTEM

About OCA: The organisation helps thousands of rural, subsistence-farming families in the Northern and West-Nile regions of Uganda who have been living in extreme poverty (living on $1.1/day), exposed to health risks and frequent death from poor sanitation, hygiene and nutrition, and who could not see a way out of their plight. The organisation aims to sustainably improve the social and economic status of these households, enabling them to attain self-sufficiency. It is based on an approach called 'StepUp', which tackles poverty at household level, using a participatory learning and action approach (taking into account the high illiteracy rates) to actively involve and empower local community groups. 

The MLE System integrates mobile apps used by OCA field staff for capturing daily project activities and auto generate reports required by both OCA Internal staff use and Donor requirements.
